Hahn - Seule

Hi Haydenmuhl, I think there is at least one page missing from this, maybe more. Daphnis 14:47, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

Librettists - authors of words

Hello Haydenmuhl, We really need the date for these unless it is a very obvious one like Jean Racine, since copyright terms are based on the death date of the last surviving contributor - which might not always be the composer. Also, do you happen to know the title of the Hugel collection these Hahn songs are taken from? Thanks, Carolus 07:35, 31 January 2011 (UTC) (IMSLP Copyright Admin)

The songs I'm currently uploading (Heugel plate 27627) are from "Mélodies de Reynaldo Hahn, Deux volumes de Vignt mélodies chacun", volume 2. Which date in particular do you need? And for which scores? --Haydenmuhl 08:08, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the info. The dates of the 20-song volumes would be helpful, though they are not necessary for any copyright determination. Carolus 03:47, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

I don't see a date for the volume in my scans, including title pages and the cover. --Haydenmuhl 10:18, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

A reminder. There is no way I am going to remember the dates for these folks for the most part. With over 400 files to review today, there is simply no time to look them all up. With Tosti most things are at least going to be OK in Canada, but that is nt always the case for the EU, which has another 20 years of protection. Thanks, Carolus 07:27, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

Tosti: Buon Capo d'Anno

Hello Haydenmuhl,

To continue our discussion from the forum, this appears to be a new engraving (from the 1992 Ricordi volume we were talking about), not a reprint from an issue of an 1882 magazine. Is there no editorial claim or credit made at the beginning of the Ricordi volume? Since we have a 25-year rule on engravings, items 1986 and later cannot be uploaded unless you can prove that there is absolutely no added material at all of any kind on the part of the volume editor. Let me know, as I've tagged it non-PD for now. Thanks, Carolus 06:07, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

BTW, please add the following to the original publication info (in brackets):
< |Reprint=''Edizione completa delle romanza per canto e pianoforte''<br>Milan: [[Ricordi]], 1992. Plate ###### >

(Go to the other Tosti scores you uploaded, like En Hamac to see how this looks)

The notes don't list any sources other than the magazine. No indication that they looked at the autograph copy to add information missing from the published copy. This is all the edition lists about its sources.
If Buon Capo d'Anno is a typeset, I would bet that the other song from a magazine is also a new typeset. Here is the editorial notes for "Vuol note, o banconote?"
Canzoncina d'occasione pubblicata a p. 5 di Cronaca bizantina, periodico quindicinale letterario-sociale artistico. Anno II Numero 3. Roma, 1 febbraio 1882.
I'll hold back on "Vuol note" until you make a final decision. --Haydenmuhl 07:18, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I think they re-typeset the two of those. They are just too new and will have to go, since the copyright claim on the collection (1992) covers any editorial claim that might be present - even if the editor is anonymous. We can't rely on the urtext argument until 2018. The other items do indeed appear to be reprints of older scores, so they are fair game. Carolus 04:37, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

Librettists - authors of words

Dear Haydnmuhl, Please check the dates of librettists before uploading. Githa Sowerby, who wrote the words for Tosti's First Waltz, lived until 1970 - which means this song is not PD in either Canada or the EU and will have to be deleted. Copyright terms in Canada and the EU are determined by the death year or the last surviving contributor. You can send your file to Schissel, Daphnis or one of the other admins who regularly deals with the US server, as the work is actually free in the USA. Thanks, Carolus 05:47, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

Hann, Reynaldo - A Chloris

Hello, Haydenmuhl! I am a relatively new IMSLP user. I just submitted my first work to the project, that is an arrangement from Hann's "A Chloris". I noticed that you uploaded two versions of this piece, a few months ago, and I' like ask you to chek what I did in this page. Than you! --SHerrera 22:07, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

Hahn - Séraphine

There seem to be two pages missing from the middle of "Séraphine"; the two pages here are the first and last (?). Thanks for posting!
