Beethoven Upload

Hi, and thanks for the contribution to IMSLP! Unfortunetely, the Beethoven upload had to be deleted because it infringed Canadian copyright law. Since Willy Hess died in 1997, his works and editions are protected until 2047 in Canada :). Since the IMSLP server is located in there, we must abide by their copyright laws. With kind regards, BKhon 22:28, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

Actually, since the edition in question appears to be an urtext edition (we already have the parts to it here), it is not subject to the usual life-plus-50 rule and has therefore been restored. Cheers, KGill talk email 00:52, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for restoring my upload. May I inform you about a possibly wrong comment: "Incomplete, first movement completed by Willy Hess" Please read the preface of my uploaded score. There Willi Hess himself gives informations about the completion of the first movement, done by L.A. Zellner in 1862. The first performance was in the same year in Vienna. Hess apparently did edit a copy of the completion by Zellner. Kind regards! H. Hansen

Thanks for the info - I modified the comment at the bottom of the page. To clarify, I did have to remove Hess's preface from your file, since it constituted original material on his part (and would therefore be under copyright in Canada and most other places). The rest of the score was fine and has been retained. Cheers, KGill talk email 16:43, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
