User talk:Mezzopianomezzoforte

Dear Contributor,

You recently submitted a file to Le vespre d'un maiale (Guarini, Francesco Mauro). The file you submitted was a recent arrangement, edition, engraving or typeset, in which there is possible copyright although the original composer might be in the public domain. This file will not be accessible and will be deleted in 24 hours or less as a possible copyright violation unless you declare yourself to be the typesetter, provide written permission by the copyright owner to distribute this file on IMSLP, or proof that the file was released under one of the Creative Commons or similar licenses. Please read this page for more information about copyright on IMSLP. You can provide an answer here in the textbox at the bottom of this page, making sure to click on 'save reply' when you are finished.

If the uploaded file was improperly submitted as a "Normal Scan" and/or categorized as public domain, we reserve the right to delete it immediately if there is no evidence provided that you are the typesetter, or that the file was released under a free license as described above. If the file is actually your own work, you can re-upload it as a "(Re)Typeset" and list your own name as "Editor" and as "Publisher" when uploading again. Due to the moral rights provisions of many countries' copyright laws, it is not really possible for you to designate any new work - even your own typeset - as public domain. The simple "Creative Commons Attribution 4.0" is functionally the equivalent of public domain but meets the minimal requirements (attribution) or the moral rights aspect of various copyright statutes. See our Composer Portal page for a detailed explanation of this issue. Despite what detractors of this site say, IMSLP is very serious about obeying copyright laws.

Thank you.
Best regards,

Two additional issues:

  1. Please do not list yourself as "editor" for scanned scores. If you have typeset or engraved a score, you should list yourself as "editor" but not for scans of older scores.
  2. You need to abbreviate your user name in the "uploader" field when uploading. "Mezzopianomezzoforte" creates a line-break with the date of upload. Typing in "mezzo" will not change your actual username, just its appearance on the workpage.

Thanks, Carolus 03:50, 6 August 2011 (UTC)

Hello, Carolus. I have typed the score of "Le vespre...". It is an unpublished work. Thank you. Mezzopianomezzoforte.

Thanks for your indications about the previous scores I submited. I will observe it. Best regards. Mezzo :)

Thanks for your speedy reply! I will tag these accordingly. Best, Carolus 04:22, 6 August 2011 (UTC)

Dear Mezzopianomezzoforte: I see you have tagged Le vespre. I need to point out that only members of the tagging team are allowed to tag, because of the complexities of it. You have left out the tag for the chorus, which I will correct. However, in the future, could you please just leave the pages untagged, and we will do that. Having said that, thank you very much for your contribution! Steltz 09:57, 6 August 2011 (UTC)

La Romanesca (Sor, Fernando)

Hi Mezzo. Unfortunately, the file you uploaded to this page had to be deleted, because it was an arrangement by Karl Scheit - who died only in 1993, making him under copyright in Canada (where the main IMSLP servers are located) and most of the rest of the world. You may wish to read IMSLP:Copyright Made Simple for more information. Thanks, KGill talk email 20:04, 18 August 2011 (UTC)

Ok. I did not know. Sorry.

Canon alla sesta e alla settima (Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus)

Hello! Today I have added the Kochel number: "KV 508a". Canon legitimately composed by Mozart. (The recording of this piece can be found in "Mozart Tower") Thanks! Mezzo
