Thanks for the contribution! I'm not at all sure the opus 79 cello sonata is just a transcription of the opus 78 cello concerto actually- it was composed 1902-1906 (see RISM 464000399) - I am not sure just now when the cello concerto was composed (before 1907, anyway but I don't know exactly.) The above description suggests but does not show that opus 79 may have more than one movement. The overall impression I get is "unclear". Eric 05:46, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
