Welcome

Dear ValeriyaSholokhova,
Welcome to the IMSLP! We would like to thank you for contributing.

Please visit our Contributor Portal to learn more about contributing to IMSLP.

The Tutorial provides you a basic introduction to using this site. If you wish to contribute music scores, you will find all the details in the page How to Submit a Score. In addition to that, it is advisable for you to have a basic understanding of copyright law. In case you aren't able to find something you want to know in those pages, you can leave a note on the forums.

Please consider putting the Babel tags on your user page, to tell others which languages you speak. You can also use the Babel system to find users who speak a certain language.

You can communicate with other users by placing a message on their talk page (click on a user's name, and then on Discussion), just like I did on your page. When logging on the next time, this user will get a notification of a new message. Replying to these messages can be done on your own talk page, or on the corresponding user's talk page. Note that there will be no notification for the other user when replying on your own page. It's always a good idea to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~), which automatically adds your user name and a datestamp.

If you want to discuss something with the whole community, you can post a message in the IMSLP forums. For very important messages, please contact the staff directly via the IMSLP staff contact list.

Frequently asked questions can be found on the FAQ page.

We're looking forward to your next submission!

Checking for copyrights

Hi Valeriya, thank you for your submissions to IMSLP thus far! I did want to mention a couple things to you (if the moderators don't) that may keep you from spending a lot of time in vain. First, be sure you have a good understanding of how copyright law works, especially in Canada, so read the copyright FAQ page again, but I'll summarize very briefly for you here. Make sure these two conditions are met before you upload anything: 1.) Did the composer in question die more than 50 years ago? 2.) Was the edition you're planning on uploading published more than 50 years ago? If you can answer both of these 'yes' then it's likely safe to upload, but again read and re-read the copyright page carefully to understand all the ins and outs. Best of luck. Double entries and copyrighted entries

Dear Valeriya Sholokhova. Thank you for your contributions. However, you are making some mistakes. First of all, you submit files that are already on IMSLP. For example, your submission to Transcriptions for the Young, after Bach's Cello Suites (Siloti, Alexander Ilyich) is exact the same as the file already online. Also several Bach editions you submitted were already online. Can I ask you to, before uploading, to check the files that are already on IMSLP?

Second, you select New Composition as file type. This should be normal scans. Also you select always Creative Commons as copyright license. This should be public domain.

Third, you have submitted files that are under copyright and not allowed. Please read Public Domain carefully.

So, I hope I have provided you some information that will be helpful to you. Your name seems non-English to me. Can you please let me know that you have understood my message? You can reply here or on my talk page by clicking on "edit" on top of the page. Thank you! Peter talk 12:23, 21 August 2007 (EDT)

Brahms Double Concerto

Thanks for the fantastic score and parts of Brahms's Concerto for Violin and Cello. I have removed the Elibron logo and split the file. Any file with the Elibron logo, though in the public domain, must have its logo removed before being uploaded. You can download PDF Split and Merge (info on this site) to solve this problem.

In the meantime, keep it up. If I see any more uploads with logos I'll try to remove them. -Ras1

Dear ValeriyaSholokhova,
You recently submitted files that do not seem to be in public domain. IMSLP only accepts works that are not copyrighted. Please visit Public Domain for more information about the public domain. Tips for determining the publication date of your score can be found on IMSLP:Contributing scores.
If your submission was in public domain, please add relevant information about the publication to the file page. Copyrighted files will be deleted.

Thank you!

Thank you.

Another copyright violation

You keep on posting copyrighted scores. Can you please read and answer to what we are saying here? Can you understand english? --Peter talk 13:02, 27 August 2007 (EDT)

I can speak English. I will check from now on. Could I upload these scores to my account without sharing it with the public? By clicking the "Upload file" on the left?
Thank you, Valeriya
Thank you. The answer on your question is: no. Everything you upload is available to the public. So everything must be in public domain, because IMSLP has only legal files out of copyright. If you want to know if there is still a copyright on your score, visit Public Domain. Thank you for your cooperation! --Peter talk 14:43, 27 August 2007 (EDT)

Yes, thank you. I will try to check from now on..

Maybe it is a good idea for someone to translate this into Russian? I'm guessing from the nick that she is Russian... --Feldmahler 12:39, 30 August 2007 (EDT)

Telemann

Hi, Valerika!

The "Telemann's 12 duos for Violín and Cello" (published nrs. 1 and 7) don't have this name. This works is from "Essercizii Musici", and this pieces are the solos 1 and 7.

Good quality!

Sorry for my bad english, i'm argentinian.
