||New York: G. Schirmer, n.d.(1881). Plate 2680.
||From the collection of the Friedheim Library of the Peabody Conservatory, Johns Hopkins U. (Baltimore) (as interloaned to my local public library and me for a few weeks...) Date from the Schirmer plate table; will attempt to confirm from 1880s-contemporary sources more surely. |
(From similar such cases in the Library of Congress American Memory digital archive, probably had an "editor" attributed to satisfy the weak US copyright law of the time, but none seems to be on the copy- maybe this copy is part of a larger edition which contains this information and the copyright date, which too is usually included in 1880s US publications and surprisingly lacking in this one.) Ah, I see- this may have been part of this publication (which doesn't help much, and neither does Google Books research.) (Carnegie Library gives 2860 for plate, but 2680 seems to be the plate here.)
