The composer wrote 2 violin sonatas, according to the biography at bach-cantatas.com . Of course, a first of anything is - usually - not published as no. 1, and Hofmeisters Monatsbericht confirms that G. Schumann's first violin sonata was indeed in C minor (while obligingly providing a date.)

Published again, still as Sonate (cism), in 1908 by Universal Edition (Hofmeister's Monatsbericht (1908), p.306.) His second violin sonata, Op.55, was published by Ries & Erler in 1911.
