Misc. Comments
One of Vieuxtemps works from the last period, at a time where he didn't use virtuosity anymore... it is composed of 6 pieces, each one describing an emotion. He said what he had to say, simply but profondly, without pathos nor effect, but with the deepness of sincerity... Ysaÿe considered those as little gemms. 1) Douleur (Grief) 2) Espoir (Hope) 3) Foi (Faith) 4) Déception (disappointment) 5) Sérénité (serenity) 6) Contemplation (Contemplation)
