History

The songwriter Ted Snyder (1881-1965) founded a publishing company in 1908 in New York. In 1912 he was joined by the songwriter Irving Berlin (1888-1989) and Henry Waterson (1873-1933), the owner of Crown Music. Waterson, Berlin & Snyder operated until 1929, although Berlin left in 1919 to found his own company, Berlin Music. The catalog was bought by Mills Music in 1931.
