  • This opera seems to have been written mostly by Pierre Vignon, as evidenced in two quotations from Grove Music:
  • Of Louis Lully (Jean-Louis' brother), Grove Music says "Those of his operas which did prove successful and were revived several times (Zéphire et Flore and Alcide) were written in collaboration with other composers, the first with his brother Jean-Louis and a music master, Pierre Vignon, the second with Marin Marais."
  • Of Jean-Louis Lully, Grove Music says "Most of the works of which he claimed authorship, including an Idylle performed at Anet and Zéphire et Flore, the profits of which he shared with Louis Lully, were largely written by Vignon."
