In her dissertation "Cello music in an eighteenth century manuscript: The "Opus I" sonatas of Giuseppe DaII'Abaco (1710-1805)" (1991) Nancy Monsman describes that this manuscript should have been the template for a publication that has never been made, therefore she considers the sonatas to be sorted and calls them Dall'Abaco's "Op. I". |
