Misc. Notes From the uploader's library. Stained cover page cleaned. An interesting edition when compared with the De la Chevardière's publication : original additions there are, but very few in number : on page 1, taken as an example, some bowing modifications, a few expression marks and phrasings, the letters R and D replaced by rinf. & dolce, but the appogiaturas do not conform to the originals (in order to justify a rather unnecessary explanation ?). Unfortunately, the editor did not pursue his efforts to the point of prefacing his edition.

Misc. Notes From the uploader's library. Note : The Karl Haas edition passed, but I dare say this one won't ! However I have not found a difference in the editorial approach for this edition. True, there is a preface, but contrary to what S.Sadie states the "smaller type" adopted for non original markings is not applied rigorously. In the sample flute page for instance, the original D (for dolce) is entered unnecessarily in smaller type as P dolce. Appoggiaturas are realized correctly and in full, and editorial intervention across the board is restrained, which is, after all, a good thing. I have another Quintet by the same editor and from the same series (op.21 (=17) no.5, Musica Rara 1958, no plate number. Maybe this one may be more ok ?
