Misc. Notes From the uploader's library. Stained cover page cleaned. An interesting edition when compared with the De la Chevardière's publication : original additions there are, but very few in number : on page 1, taken as an example, some bowing modifications, a few expression marks and phrasings, the letters R and D replaced by rinf. & dolce, but the appogiaturas are not realized except as footnotes. Unfortunately, the editor did not pursue his efforts to the point of prefacing his edition.

Misc. Notes From the uploader's library. Note : The Karl Haas edition passed, but I dare say this one won't ! However I have not found a difference in the editorial approach for this edition. True, there is a preface, but contrary to what S.Sadie states the "smaller type" adopted for non original markings is not applied rigorously. In the sample flute page for instance, the original D (for dolce) is entered unnecessarily in smaller type as P dolce. Appoggiaturas are realized correctly and in full, and editorial intervention across the board is restrained, which is, after all, a good thing.

Misc. Notes From the uploader's library. The editor announces this as a First Edition. What he means, presumably, is First Modern Edition. Note : Would the absence of a plate number make this item more eligible than the previous one? Just wondering...
