All versions except the Sibelius were played in Notion4. Sibelius is with Sibelius Standard library. Tried to normalize volume of celesta as best I could across different versions. Did not try and tweak individual notes of the celesta part so you can get a better idea of the "out-of-the-box" sound. Also note different libraries may need octave adjusting for celesta part.

At Christmas time I thought a selection of celestas in my ongoing series of sampled comparisons would be appropriate. My main purpose was to test out the Spitfire Redux Percussion library, which is purported to be one of the best with excellent sounds all around. I'll also compare a number of other popular options - starting of course with the most famous celesta part ever written - the main theme of the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy from The Nutcracker.
