This Viennese firm earned its place in history by being, along with Wetzler, one of the first publishers of Hugo Wolf's songs. Lacom issued the Goethe- and Eichendorff-Lieder. As Wolf's biographer Walker wrote "Wolf... entered upon a lively and frequently agitated correpondence direct with the printers."
