His son Friedrich Hollaender (1896-1976) was a successful composer and cabaret-review writer (imdb). He wrote the music for The Blue Angel movie (1930). The actress and singer Blandine Ebinger was his wife from 1919 to 1926, the dancer and artist Hedi Schoop from 1932 to 1940, Leza Hay 1944 to 1946 and Berthe Jeanne Kreder 1946-.
