The publisher claims this work is suitable for amateurs (''für Liebhaber geeignet''), but the first solo violin part is fairly difficult, involving high positions and double stops.

A new revised edition was released in 1870- this is what Sibley has. The score was first published perhaps around the 1820s according to the library catalog of Universitätsbibliothek Johann Christian Senckenberg.
