No.1 of Six pièces pour grand orgue. Three versions: CFF 53A, 53B and 53C. Version I composed in 1856 for the organ of St. Michel at Carcassonne. Version II (the published version) finished in 1863. Versions III was composed in 1868 after the initial publication (the partial manuscript for version III being bound in an edition of the published version).
