Konstanty Trepte (1856-1927) worked for Gebethner and Wolff from 1888 to 1893, then started his own firm. It specialised in importing illustrated children's books and publishing Polish language versions. It also published a lavishly illustrated book about the Polish army: Bronisław Gembarzewski's Wojsko polskie 1815-1830. At the same time it published piano music.
