At the first performance at the Vienna Kärtnertortheater on July 24, 1822 the title of this opera was "Corradino ossia Bellezza e cuor di ferro". Czerny's rondino Op.29, for example, refers to this opera as "Corradino".
The French (Janet et Cotelle) vocal score refers to this work as an opéra seria.
