Schrank Catalogue number ⟨User:Notenschreiber [#13571]

Hi Notenschrieber

Make sure to include the Schrank number in the Opus/Catalogue number field. Check your most recent workpages that have a Schrank number and make sure to add this to this field!

But the SchrankII Number ist not an Opus number and not a catalog number! We use it only to discriminate works from the same author (like "Anonymous"). Another question: Something has going wrong with some details of my last upload. May be can repair it? I should looks like the other Lully overture-suites on his collection page. I had a look with the chart of "Anonymous". In deed, most - not all - compositions with a Schrank II addition has this as "catalogue number". But for examlpe 37/5 means 37. Fach, 5. Lage; it describes the pyhsical place, where the sheetmusic is. Only we here at IMSLP use this to specify the music. I´m not happy with this situation. Maybe Davydov should be asked.

Then why is this Schrank designation being used like a catalogue number with it being placed after the worktitle, seperated by a comma? I guess I don't know enough about this then...

About the Overture-suite, the reason the Opderivs wasn't working was because the Opera works in the Movements section wasn't in this list yet here and you had some of the catalogue numbers incorrect on that workpage based on the workpages we had already. Here is where we have to add in the Operas too for the workpages to be added to this list: http://imslp.org/wiki/Template:OpDerivs

Thanks for the correction, the main problem was a typo in the word "prosperine", i think. About the catalogue numbers: Not only the "Schrank2" things are concerned, all the other "library dependent" additions to the work titles are not catalog numbers in a narrow sense like the numbers of a "Werkverzeichnis", which is accepted in the musical community. These library numbers are convinient in order to discriminate equal titles, but usually not accepted otherwise. For example: ULB Mus.Ms.1227-2 or D-B: Mus.ms. 30282 and so on. These should not used in the Opus/Catalogue number field, that´s my opinion. On the other hand one may think, that in every case, when our "IMSLP"-title has an appendix in this manner it should be repeated in the Opus/Catalogue number field. To be uniform, this should be cleared up.

Your not understanding about the Opderivs, the operas have to be manually added to the template list if the operas are not in the list for the template to work with those operas, that why the templates were not working like they should in the end.

About the Schrank numbers, I think I got all the pages of works you made and removed the number from the field in the General Info. Luckily it wasn't that many. If you do come across any, could you go and just remove them quick?
