Schrank, 2 arias ⟨User:Notenschreiber [#13585]

Dear Notenschreiber:

You have tagged this page: [1]

as cantatas, but the system isn't recognizing it because it needs to specify sacred or secular. Since only the instrumental parts are here, we can't tell.

But how do you know the arias are from cantatas? The RISM link doesn't say what they are from? I'm thinking it might be better just to tag them as arias and then we don't really need to worry about sacred or secular. Thanks, Becky

Sorry, i forgot about the specifying "sacred" or "secular". In the RISM notes we find "Vermutlich Stimmenmaterial zu einer italienischen Kantate". Because "Schrank2" only contains secular music, with only one exception purely instrumental, we can assume that "secular cantatas" is probably the right choice. On the other hand, RISM says "vermutlich" , so the cantata origin is not approved also. To tag "arias" is not so wrong in any case.

I've done both. Thanks. B
