IMSLP #485308Adagio for String Sextet, Op.22 (Henderson-Sellers, Brian) [#18797]

Hi Brian I tried playing your Adagio in our clarinet choir this week, but it doesn't sound good. Could you provide a version in Bb major so that it sounds more like the original string sextet? Also in the current arrangement the alto clarinet has B natural going to B natural in the first bar? Doesn't make any sense Regards Andy

Sorry I didn't spot this earlier (no automated email to draw my attention to this one unfortunately).

Thanks for spotting the error in bar 1. This is a result of a feature/bug in Sibelius whereby adding an accidental early in a bar is automatically cancelled for other notes of the same pitch in that bar (which is not what you would expect). I will fix up these problems and upload a new version shortly.

As to the key, it was transposed into a minor key to bring a little more "darkness" into the piece and also to accommodate the various ranges of the wind instruments (as opposed to strings). I am therefore not keen to transpose back to concert A flat (B flat for the B flat clarinets)

But keep me in touch with your progress on this
