It is not necessary to remove this part of the template "|Born Year=" on a category page (as you did with La Barre). The "|Birth Date=" insert used for estimated birth year over-rides this field. Having the year field there is a good idea as someone will eventually research the matter in detail and possibly determine the birth year from any number of sources which survive, which makes it simpler to update the category.
