I am tentatively placing this work (Werner Janssen's Dixie) on the upload list, well knowing it can't go through on account of its characteristics, which is why I am only uploading the main cover page, the sub cover page, and a couple of included leaflets, which may be of general interest. The score is complete but lacking any sort of annotations on the part of Konstantinoff, who may have ordered it from Eulenburg on account of its "opulent" orchestration, as described in the New York Times. He was also interested in scoring for Jazz ensembles, which may be another motivation. On 28th May 1935 Kurt Eulenburg (under his father's signature, Ernst) wrote Konstantinoff a letter congratulating him on the success of his music in Leipzig and asking him to contact on his behalf a selection of conductors in France (Eugène Bigot, Paul Paray, Gaston Poulet, Piero Coppola) in order to promote some notable works by composers he fancied and whose works he printed, viz. Adolf Busch (Capriccio), Miklós Rózsa (Thema und Variationen), Paul Graener (Die Flöte von Sanssouci) and Werner Janssen's Dixie. He also mentions one Wunsch (Kleine Lustspiel-Suite) who doesn't seem to have make an inpact anywhere (no trace of him on the web)... From this we may surmise K.K. requested K. Eulenburg send him Janssen's Fugue in order to judge for himself, but it is doubtful he went to the trouble of contacting the aforesaid conductors.
There are other miscellanies in K.K's archives which I can upload in a similar case by case manner, the others being somewhat more admissible, I would presume, we'll see.
