Know how to replace a file? ⟨User:Sammik [#25980]

If you want to replace an old version, go under the file number by doing this, do not do a brand new upload:

Replacing files is easy once you know the trick...

  1. Click on the file number
  2. Follow the link to "upload a new version of this file"
  3. Upload the new file - you can name the new one any way you like (keep it the same or change to something new - it makes no difference)
  4. When you see the little [B] next to the file description, you will know your replacement was successful

It might appear to be the old version if you view without being logged in for a couple of days due to the site's cache being updated, but the new one is what will actually download.
That's all there is to it.

Yes, I know. But in this case, problem was, that som files of quartet arrangement were replaced by other files by orchestra part. It happend probably because they had same names, so system marked some files in upload as duplicates and put orchestra files into quartet arrangement. File #616761 were replaced by #614581, ... So I didnt want to "upload new version of this files", because it would change them in orchestra setup. (File #614581 is orchestra Violin1 part, and I dont want to replace it. I just want tu put correct quartet part into quartet setup.)

I hope, it is clear. I discussed it with Kyle (Skryabushka), and he wrote me, I need to upload correct files again.
