Ok, so, all of the information I can find about Martin Hall seems to indicate that he is still alive, or at least only deceased recently enough to still be under copyright. Hilariously, Schott's bio says he was only born in 1963, which is clearly impossible, since this edition was first released in 1947. However, we may be able to justify this as an urtext, since the BnF bibliographical record lists Hall as "éditeur scientifique". However, I'm still going to tag it as EU "checked" because of the uncertainty.

Thanks for looking at this! Since Kodaly died in 1967, I was expecting this to be PD in Canada (where I live) but not in the EU. I think considering this as an urtext sounds good, from the perspective of the editor's death dates, but my understanding was that if the author died after 1949, a work isn't PD in the EU yet. Let me know if that sounds right to you!

The rationale for considering this as an urtext is so that it can qualify for the copyright exemption for scientific/urtext editions. The editor's dates are therefore not relevant, as it was published more than 30 years ago.
