Symbol in Weyse sonata ⟨User:Coulonnus [#29735]

In your edition of the Weyse sonata in G minor, https://imslp.org/wiki/Piano_Sonata_No.8_in_G_minor_(Weyse%2C_Christoph_Ernst_Friedrich), there's a symbol like an X in a circle. It looks a bit like an alternate reading (suggesting the original score had a misprint). Is that right?

This came up in a Reddit thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/musictheory/comments/nlkuph/whats_this_symbol_in_piano_sheet_music/). You could comment there, or if you can clarify here, I'll copy the information. Thanks!

This is a guessed note. I is not in the Lose edition but I am amost sure is should be there. This X in a circle is simpler than a Ossia passage. I have also put quite a few in [Bomempo Sonata Op.5]
