Check for English translation on these two operas/ballets for hindemith ⟨User:Fynnjamin [#7966]

Hi Fynnjamin. If you have some time. You seem to know German from you User page and would like to see if you could double check the authenticity of the translation for the cast chorus and orchestra under these two pages for hindemith in the "Instrumentation" Field. I do know German personally as a second language but not very well and need some assistant on this!

Tuttifäntchen
Mörder, Hoffnung der Frauen, Op.12

Please compare this with the Hindemith Foundation links where I got the information. One other question I had with relating to German is I don't know for one of the percussion instruments in German on the Hindemith Foundation is the "Cymbals". In German its "Becken" but there are two different sets of Cymbals according to H.F., one being abbreviated "hg Becken" and "Beck paar". Beck paar or Beckenpaar I figured out to be "Pair of Cymbals" in English but don't know what the "hg" means in English.

Please also check the voices and the chorus if I have them correct! You may want to consult the vocal scores provided there!

I assume "hg" to mean "haengende" or hanging, i.e. "sus. cym." (suspended cymbals)...

So it would be then Suspended and Pair of Cymbals or should I keep it just cymbals in the Instrumentation field? I am just wondering if there is a big difference....

I don't think it's that necessary to be so specific - I'd leave it at cymbals. For a big symphony orchestra such as these works call for, it would be expected from the percussion section anyway.

Right I see thanks!
