Navoigille ⟨User:Fynnjamin⟩ [#8085]

Hi Fynnjamin,

I hope you don't mind, but have I moved op.2, op.4 and op.10 by Julien Navoigille to Guillaume Navoigille instead because the author for those works was given as Guillaume on the BNF site. If you have evidence to suggest that they are actually by Julien, then I can move them back. There are some other works (trios, quartets and symponies) by both Guillaume and Julien available in BNF that you might be interested in uploading as well.

Ah. I did wonder whether they were the same person or not. Thanks. So there's Guillaume Joseph: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guillaume_Navoigille and Hubert Julien: http://www.biografischportaal.nl/en/persoon/60882619 are they brothers perhaps?

Hmm. It's a bit more confusing than I first thought. There is a wikipedia article for Julien also http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julien_Navoigille. This has a different worklist than the one on Guillaume's page. Can you speak French? I can't, but it looks as though Julien used his brothers' name sometimes.

a bit confusing. What I gather is that Navoigille was a stage name (their surname was Chevalier) - first adopted by Guillaume, and then his brother Julien.
