Arrangements of your own works ⟨User:Wernerdebleser [#8413]

These should still be uploaded as "Your Own New Composition", not as an arrangement. As with "editor" composers make arrangements of their own pieces all the time and we don't want their "Arrangements" subcategory tab populated by their original works - only works of other composers they've arranged. Apart from that minor thing, glad you're using the new upload system!

Dear Carolus,

thanks for the information. I shall keep it in mind.

Greetings,

This also applies to the new tools. Only use the "Add Your Own Arrangement" option for your arrangement of another composer's piece. Otherwise it ends up populating the "Arrangements by" tab with your own works.

Dear Carolus, Okay, I'm gonna try to upload my files correct!

I have another question. I'm making an arrangement of 3 Schubert songs for double bass and piano. All songs come from different songcycles. How do I upload this arrangement? As 3 different uploads in the Original songs itself, or as one upload (the 3 arrangements in one)?

Thanks, WernerDeBleser

Hi. Please remember that arrangements of your own works should still be uploaded as "New Compositions", with a note in the Misc. field about the arrangement details. Thanks.
