Rieck Duo / Heinichen Concerto ⟨User:Notenschreiber [#8618]

Hi Notenschreiber,

I've noticed that you have been filling in the gaps for Schrank 2. Does this mean the while collection will be on IMSLP soon? That's an exciting prospect!

One of the pieces (the Rieck Duo) was already uploaded here. It seems more likely to me to be a Concerto by Heinichen, and it has been recorded that way. However, on Haynes there is only a page for Rieck (he guessed that it may have been a Concerto with missing parts). He must not have had access to the Rostock manuscript to make the connection. Not sure what the best solution is for this one. I'll let you decide.

All the best.

Thanks for your hint. I didn´t have a look at Haynes and followed RISM and SLUB, but my impression was also, that these two parts are the solo parts (or oboe solo and violin 1) of a concerto with strings. That´s clear now, i think, by the Rostock manuscript. But who is the composer? Perhaps we should keep the workpage with the Rieck Duo with a remark and a link to Heinichen.

Yes, the aim is to have Schrank2 completely at IMSLP, about 100 pieces and collections are missing until now.

I checked RISM (RISM 200044362) and the Rostock manuscript says "del Sig.r Heinigen".

Yes, i know. But on the manuscript from the SLUB we find the name Rieck. I don´t think, that we can have a final decision. I admit, that Heinichen seems more probable, because this piece is complete.
