Though the subtitle says "melodrama", that tag (strictly speaking) involves narration. This work, a grand production, incorporates oratorio, stage play, and dance, but there is no narration. Therefore, the best tag will be sacred oratorios.

First published from the manuscript in 1987. Should strictly speaking be mch (male voices), not SSATB/SATB; female voices would not have been used (according to the Syracuse University catalog description of the 1987 publication, which includes substantial critical notes.) - ES
