Talk:I masnadieri (Verdi, Giuseppe)

I was going to upload this vocal score from Google as a PD score [1]

But on the first page it appears to be a 1985 reprint. I'm not sure this is really PD, even for Google.

Yes, the Google score is absolutely PD. Here's the catch, though. You will note that every single page has the Google logo present. Thus, posting the score as it stands is a violation of Google's trademark. In order to post this score here, you have to remove all of the Google logos. Read through the "public domain" section of our guidelines for contributors. The same rule applies to CD Sheet Music, who has scanned all of Verdi's operatic vocal scores, alomg with those of Puccini and Wagner. Read the forum for more info about removing logos from such files. If you're interested in removing logos, let me know as we do have an FTP site where we're storing files for cleanup. It requires a UserID and password to access this site, which we give out only to those who have expressed interest in the cleanup project. But if you look at the first page, at the same place as the Google logo, there is a "RISTAMPA 1985". Are later reprints allowed? Operalala 11:40, 1 February 2009 (EST)

(btw I've sorted out the Google logo problem - it's easy to remove with Adobe Acrobat, but CD Sheet Music is password protected.)
