Either you mind having pages that are in the category "Category:Scores published in the 1882th century", e.g., as I do- if you do, you really need to rewrite categories like this and move dates from one field of Template P to another, e.g. - or just ignore this.

which doesn't place it in a P (score year category) but just uses its other, formatting, skills? See eg Edelmann symphony where this template is used to show that the symphony exists in a 1915 edition, in the comments section (not the upload), but still the page shows as scores published in 1915- works published in 1915 is true but the uploaded score was not so a ref version should've been used...
