Piano-vocal score arranged by the composer, as engraved and published in Vol. 35 of the composer's Polnoe sobranie sochinenii, edited by V. Vasilyev (1956), with added supplement. Plate M. 5858 Г.
(Original edition published in 1876 by P. Jurgenson, in Moscow.) This Soviet edition includes a supplement consisting primarily of the segments of the full orchestral score of Vakula the Smith which were omitted from the revised version, entitled Cherevichki. (The full orchestral score of Vakula the Smith was not published during the composer's lifetime.)
