This work is most likely NOT public domain in either Canada and other countries where the term is life+50 years (like China, Hong Kong, New Zealand and many others worldwide), or the EU and in countries where the copyright term is life+70 years. However, as this work was first published before 1926 or failed to meet notice or renewal requirements, it is almost certainly public domain in the USA and is therefore hosted on an American server for US residents only.

Grove Music lists no work by this name for voice and piano, although there is a work called 2 poèmes from 1912 for piano. Also, Grove's list is selective and not complete. There is a vocal work in the selective list with words by Verlaine, called Verlaine with the description "(6 songs after P. Verlaine), 1v, pf, 1912–19". It is possible, therefore, that this is part of a larger work.
