||Lothar Hoffmann-Erbrecht (1925-2011)
||Leipzig: Breitkopf und Härtel, No.5836, 1955. Plate 31479.|URTEXT EDITION
This "urtext" or "scholarly" (scientific) edition was published at least 25 years ago in the EU (or 20 years ago in Italy, before 1992 in the former USSR). Hence, the edition is public domain in its country of origin or a government publication. Such editions are also public domain in Canada because they fail to meet the minimum 'threshold of originality' to qualify for copyright as an 'adaptation'. They may not be public domain elsewhere. More information about this can be found here.
Please obey the copyright laws of your country. IMSLP does not assume any sort of legal responsibility or liability for the consequences of downloading files that are not in the public domain in your country.
||A Worldcat search on: "Lothar Hoffmann-Erbrecht" 5836, turns up publication dates between 1954 and 1957 (all announced with certainty) suggesting that absent further research, the date field should for now be left blank. |
(I skipped the copyrighted introduction but it bears the date Jena, in Mai 1954)
Date 1955 from BNF (perhaps copyright is on cover? BNF seems very certain of date, which by our rules, anyway, requires presence of a copyright somewhere on the entity... assuming they are following the same rules!)
Arrangements and Transcriptions
Presto in F major (Finale) (Sonata No.1)
For Piano (Bosquet)
Some movements are the same as 2 Harpsichord Suites. Compare ornaments and other details.
(Wanted: a copy of the Bremner edition (copy held at Brussels- which doesn't, I think, as of 2015 have a digitization program :( ) or the late-18th century abschrift.)
