A 2013 book gives "Eduardo" for "E." Garrido... "The Diario de Rio de Janeiro condemned the Fénix Drámatica company for putting on Eduardo Garrido's version of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves at the Teatro Lirico on 25 March 1873..." - Kraay, "Days of National Festivity in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 1823–1889", p.282. (The same book has a couple of other mentions of H.A. Mesquita. Not positive whether this one refers to a version with or without Mesquita's music; I'd assume with, but...)
