Extra Information | An insertion aria probably for I due baroni di Rocca Azzurra by Domenico Cimarosa. The autograph is missing, but in Mozart's incipit catalog, the work is listed as Eine Aria in die Oper ["]I Due Baroni["] für Madselle Louise Villeneuve. This incipit is followed by an instrumentation list in which 2 horns, rather than 2 trumpets, are featured. According to lieder.net, the librettist of this aria is the same as for I due baroni (i.e. Palomba). |
