Rust

William Newman in one of the three books of his Sonata trilogy (either The Sonata Since Beethoven or its predecessor - I think the last of the series) discusses, I seem to recall, the case of the 19th-century revival of Rust's music in inauthentic editions created by one of his descendants (who Romanticized them to make his ancestor's work seem well ahead of his time, again if I remember correctly.) Caution needs to be exercised here (as always but moreso :) ) Eric 15:15, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
