Extra Information The 1929 Raphael publication is considerably abridged (1st movement only 403 bars vs. 703 in the original) though it should be noted that the 1975 score also contains a number of cuts apparently inserted by Miloš Sádlo which likewise shorten the outer movements. The composer never orchestrated the work, and the orchestral premiere took place in Prague on March 28, 1930 in the New German Theatre with Hans Münch-Holland as soloist and the orchestra conducted by Georg Szell using Raphael's orchestration.
