Normally, I would not mind if the file name is in a different language (this is an international site after all, and the file will be linked to from a work page, on which I assume there is a translation of the title), but here I think it's better to use the normal alphabet not because I hate Russian (which I don't), but because the Russian characters will make using the file itself a problem for people whose computer does not support such encodings. And yes, it is not PD, so I will have to remove the file. Surprisingly enough (or maybe not that surprising) is that this is a reprint by Dover; the reason it has been moved out of the public domain (and Dover actually had to stop printing Shostakovich scores) is because of an extension to US copyright law which re-copyrighted Russian works that had previously fallen into the public domain (one of the very rare cases of re-copyrighting). --Feldmahler 18:52, 8 November 2006 (EST)
