William Hine's posthumous publication.

Born at Brightwell, Oxfordshire, in 1687, Hine had been a chorister and lay clerk at Magdalen College, Oxford, whence he was dismissed 'prompter fornicationem, manifestam, et scandolasam'. He later went to London to study with Jeremiah Clarke. Unlike his two predecessors ar Gloucester, and despite his somewhat early blemished reputation, Hine was a success with the Dean and Chapter, who voluntarily raised his stipend in appreciation of his personal and musical qualities (according to his memorial). He died 28 August 1730.
