Pierre Louis Parisis was the bishop of the diocese of Langres from 1835 to 1851. Presumably true at the time of first publication (since dedications are usually topical) making the 1905-ca. Gallet not the first publication - if so (if Parisis the dedicatee is P.L. Parisis died 1866. In the event- according to the Wikipedia article on the diocese of Langres, the bishop of Langres in 1905 was one Sébastien Herscher.)
