Into My Own Inner Being was one of 52 weekly meditations given by Rudolf Steiner. I set them all to music and the Rudolf Steiner choir performed them first in San Francisco. The choir, being top-heavy with women, inspired this piece for soprani, alti and cello. It really is a kind of dialogue between the singers and cellist.
