Misc. Notes

First version in A major (1711?) for strings only. C major version (1718?) is a transposed version of the A major score, but also includes an alternative second aria with horns. The later F major version (perhaps 1719 or 1723) includes the horn aria and substantially revised versions of all other movements. The F major version also includes an appendix with substitute movements, possibly not by Telemann. This may have been for a performance where horns were not available.

Navigation etc.
RISM has 4 entries for this work, none of which are an autograph manuscript. They vary in voicing and scoring. This page will be tagged for voices generically (no number or type), mixed chorus, and both strings and continuo, as well as fuller orchestra. Hopefully, at some point, an autograph manuscript will become available, and the tag can be corrected to only that version.
