Navigation etc.

This single-piece version of Ernő Dohnányi's Ruralia hungarica also exists as one of the pieces in the three-piece version for violin and piano, Op.32c.

Op.32c dates from around 1927 (it was premiered then, at least). Op.32d judging from the plate no. seems to have been published in the 1930s, which makes sense. The first two (piano and orchestral) versions were premiered in 1924, but not Opp.32c and 32d; there is no reason to believe that they were extracted from Op.32a then, either.

There appears to be three early editions of Op.32d published. 1944 by Rózsavölgyi in Budapest (WorldCat), 1950 by Editio Musica in Budapest (WorldCat), and 1961 by Zeneműkiadó Vállalat in Budapest (WorldCat). Only the 1961 edition was registered for copyright protection in the U.S. (see EPO-87084 in the Catalog of Copyright Registrations (July-Dec., 1962)).
