According to Michael Talbot (in Martino Bitti’s Twenty-four Sonatas for Violin and Basso continuo: an Introduction, p.9-10), this was initially published by Walsh and Hare in 1711, in a set of 8 sonatas, but because of a misprint on the title page that implied they were trio sonatas, there was a quick reprint in 1712, with the title Solo’s for a Flute, with a through Bass for the Harpsicord or Bass Violin. (Flute in this case is flauto dolce.)
