Navigation etc.

  • Since the trombone part is written in alto clef, this work could easily be performed by a string quartet.
  • The bassoon part is very similar, but not exactly the same as the continuo part. Grove Music lists the instrumentation as "cornett, trbn, vn, bc". If seen as a continuo part, the bassoon would not be listed separately.
  • The Denkmaler edition specifies organ instead of continuo. Tagged for both.
